I also used the T promate blade they are very sharp and cuts real good. The only problem that I ran across is the guide( cheaply made) broke on me twice on to different blade I used my Andis guide off of an old pair of blades and it worked greAt so far. Good blade but cheap guide

both blades were worth the investments at one time but within the last six months the Andis company has really put some major improvements to there blade quality. The past five years of so the blade were of very questionable make. The masses will a test to the horrible craftsmanship of the blades. But as of late the Andis company has heard the complaints, especially when wahl started to make its move to the number on spot with the Detailer Rotary motor liner. in all the blade andis make straight out of the box should satisfy your needs

Whoa Justin!  STOP right there.....I use the Pro Mate T-Blade and the regular blade.  They do not have to be adjusted or sharpened.  When I tell you those blades almost stay sharp.  My clients always tell me that the blade is really sharp.  And I think to myself, "I was thinking about getting a new one!"  Pro-Mate also makes a straight razor that I got at a hairshow in Dallas, TX.  I could not believe it!  You can shave a man with no softening of the skin or any shaving cream on the face with that blade.  I shaved the salesman with and without shaving cream and I was amazed.  I have become addicted to those blades and refuse to use a Personna blade again.  So I am FOR the Pro-Mate Blade....get it and try it out....

Haven't used the promate yet. The T-1 is good though and it looks trendy. Very good question.
